Jalal al-Din Rumi Quotes

Knowest thou not the beauty of thine own face? Quit this temper that leals thee to war thyself.

People of the world don't look at themselves, and so they blame one another.

The intelligent want self-control; children want candy.

The only lasting beauty is the beauty of the heart.

Hangovers come with love, yet love's the cure for hangovers.

Every object, every being, is a jar full of delight.

Let the lover be disgraceful, crazy, absentminded. Someone sober will worry about things going bally.

Friends are enemies sometimes, and enemies friends.

Let the beauty we love be what we do.

Most people guard against going into the fire, and so end up in it.

I look into your eyes and see the universe not yet born.

Silence is an ocean. Speech is a river.

I didn't read the title initially. It was odd at first , cause they seemed to completely unrelated sentences of gyan. Towards the end I began to admire how all the ramblings sort of came together in my head to give a unified meaning . That was when I read the title ! Separate quotes , which weren't meant to make sense together ! Nice post .
