Teddy Bears

To a child, Teddy is a bridge between a human and an animal. He doesn't mind being dressed in ridiculous hats, or even being read to. You can blame him for anything, and he won't deny it. His marvellous face expresses anything a child wants to feel or hear.

Teddy Bears are like keys . . . They're always in the first place you think they'd be, and the last place you look.

In a world where everyone seems to be larger and louder than yourself, it is very comforting to have a small, quiet companion.

A bear teaches us that if the heart is true, it doesn't matter much if an ear drops off.

Wake in the deepest dark of night and hear the driving rain. Reach out a hand and take a paw and go to sleep again.

Bears sleep by day. At night they stay awake to chase away bad dreams.

A bear remains a bear - even when most of him has fallen off or worn away.

One never quite gets over a lost bear.

A bear doesn't mind being read to..rofl! and one doesn't get over a lost bear? I think I understand that even though I didn't grew up among bears. Or maybe they were there, and I was busy dismantling old transistors and smelling petrol. :) And now when I hear so much about them, the bears, I am too old to sleep next to one. You write refreshingly good. Keep doing that.

Cuddly and warm, these calming creatures reassure me in the days when fears fly before reason and the world loom bleak instead of beautiful. The Teddy Bear, all things to all ages... symbol that all is right with the world if one only believes.

Smelling petrol... hehe

I love that smell... :)

Teddy bears are really cute but you have to choose the right one, as there is always the one for you.

I liked the "dark night .." one :)

and One never quite get over a lost bear ...

Once I bought a teddy bear to gift someone, I loved it so much that I had second thoughts about giving it... :P

By the way the term Teddy bear has come from the Theodore Roosevelt ..

Theodore Roosevelt .. Ye, I read it somewhere.

There's something about a Teddy Bear that's impossible to explain. When you hold one in your arms, you get a feeling of love, comfort and security. It's almost supernatural.

Dream'R -- I am still child at heart...The Teddy Bear is the last toy that we part with. He is all that is left of that lost world where solutions seemed possible and a friend who saw no fault and made no reproach, waited forever in the old armchair.

Ye and it does count..!!

Well not literally lost but I couldn't bring them in India with me..!

Komal -- The world of the teddy bear is an innocent one, a world that gives delight and hurts not, a world that appeals to all generations and all nationalities. :)

Vijayshryaln -- When everyone else has let you down, there's always Ted.

Hey, that's funny.. :) Ya teddies are always cute.. A teddy bear is your childhood wrapped up in faded yellow fur, and as such, he commands affection long after he is out grown.

welcome on board buddy! :)
